CSA Delivery – March 28, 2012 – Murcott Tangerines and Taco (Romaine) Lettuce

This week’s delivery included Murcott Tangerines – I’m looking forward to trying out this variety.  I’m sure I’ve had them in the past, but this is the first time I’ve paid attention to this particular variety.

We’ve planted a variety of beets in the garden for this summer, but I decided to order some golden beets to eat in a salad – the greens have already been washed, chopped and packed into the freezer by mom for using in soups later.

My usual carrots, broccoli and celery were included in this week’s delivery along with some romaine lettuce, which I think is destined for tacos this week (iceberg is a nice option for tacos, but I prefer romaine that actually has more nutritional value).
